Shambhala, a cozy family-run hotel in an apple orchard 1 km outside Leh, was featured by TIME Magazine.
Inspired by Ladakhi folklore's 'Shambha-La,' our tranquil popular grove resort offers a peaceful escape. The hotel is run by Mr. and Mrs. Narboo, who live on-site. Mr. Narboo's late father, Sonam Narboo, received the Padmashree for his services, including constructing the Leh Airport in 1948 and the Leh-Srinagar highway. Mr. Narboo has also been a former state minister for tourism.
