Itinerary
Day 01: Pickup point - Solang
Altitude: 10334 ft. | Distance: 26 km | Time taken: 5 hours
The scenery becomes increasingly beautiful as you enter the Solang valley and hike among the mountains. After a 10-minute hike, you'll reach a stream, which you'll need to cross to continue following the trail. The trail will then take you through a pine forest and to a bridge that connects the Rohtang Pass Tunnel.
Day 02: Dhundi - Beas Kund
Altitude: 12772 ft. | Distance: 3 km | Time taken: 4 hours
The whole valley opens up and the Beas River is visible flowing through the boulder section with a view of an Ice Wall just above this section. The trek is a gradual incline that becomes steeper in certain sections. On this part of the trek, we will need to scramble over rocks and boulders during the summers, and through the snow during the winters.
Day 03: Solang - Drop point
Altitude: 8156 ft. | Distance: 12 km | Time taken: 6 hours
If the weather cooperates, you should be able to get a good view of the Dhauladhar and Pin Pranjal ranges, as well as some other Himalayan peaks like Friendship Peak, and Ladakhi Peak, Hanuman Tibba, Shitidhar, Indrasen, and Deo Tibba. Today is an easy trek, so you should be back in the Solang valley in no time, and from there it's just a short drive back to Manali.
